Journaling

All about journaling. etc etc etc etcOr maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Journaling is…

A gateway to your intuition

A release, siiiiighhhh…

Transformation, in real time

A safe space to express

Clarity in the face of unknowns

Alchemy, where thoughts take form

Communication with your inner being

A portal to other dimensions

Access to possibilities

A bridge to self-awareness

Healthy! A catalyst for mental and emotional health

An answer key, an oracle

Journaling is a powerful practice that helps facilitate bringing your subconscious thoughts to the surface for a greater self awareness and understanding of your inner world. Through journaling, you can take the swirl of thoughts in your head and give them a place to live on the page. In this way, it can be a release, a surrender, and also a way to observe yourself. It is a valuable avenue for becoming conscious of your thoughts, patterns, habits, belief systems, desires, and goals.

There’s a great alchemy that happens in the process of journaling itself, as your inner world gets expressed and shared, you get to feel seen and heard. If you choose to read your writing often or occasionally, you can witness yourself and learn from how you share and process experiences. You can also do deliberate journal practices and exercises for specific exploration, creativity, and deep dives into who you are and what is important to you.

Asking good questions of yourself and others offers you the opportunity to see what answers come up that are telling you something new, something known that wasn’t in your current awareness, or even something that may surprise you. This is the value in a good journal prompt; it invites you to explore an area that may not have been in your awareness and then gives you a gateway to receive information from your inner being or intuition.

There are so many kinds of journaling; below is a sampling of some types:

  • Free association or stream of consciousness: In this type of journaling, you write without a filter, non-stop, allowing whatever comes up to come out.

  • Journal prompts: A journal prompt is a question or invitation that presents the opportunity to explore a space and allow for ideas, thoughts, and emotions to flow through you. A prompt is to journaling, what a theme is to a costume party.

  • Tracking progress: If you are trying to create a new habit or learning something new, you can track certain features of the experience on a regular basis over time to see the change and document the process

  • Gratitude journaling

  • Travel journaling

  • Dream journaling

  • Visual journaling/ drawing/ doodling

  • Bullet journaling

  • Note taking during workshops/ training

  • Setting intentions and affirmations

  • Letter writing

  • Intuition journaling

Journaling can help you gain clarity, alignment, and make conscious change in your life. It can allow great answers and information to emerge as you explore great questions. Journaling gives you a sense of empowerment, ownership, and direction and it does so with ease as no experience is necessary to begin this practice.

Most of the experiences at Full Circle Change include a journaling component for allowing and holding the wisdom that comes through and then integrating it into your life.
